Executive Team

Our executive team collectively have 40 years of experience and have 
proven year after year a record of success in the industry.

We pride ourselves in combining science, discipline, technology and talent to
deliver compelling products that constantly responds to consumer demand
and market trends.


Chris Johnson, Chief Executive Officer

Chris has spent a significant amount of time in US and European markets understanding market requirements and subsequently Anagenix has established a portfolio of potential ingredients to address these opportunities.

A specialist in strategy and export, Chris also has experience in mergers and acquisitions in offshore markets.


Jennifer Anderson, Chief Technical & Sales Officer

Jennifer has worked alongside research institutes and universities to develop long term research programmes that achieve sound and realistic commercial strategies.

Having worked in the area of research (with a focus on molecular biosciences) and commercialisation of biotechnology including medical device IP for Government research organizations and universities, she brings a wealth of experience to the team. With an in-depth understanding of the natural product market, she specialises in matching new technologies or ideas with market niches.


Melissa Yiannoutsos, Chief Operations & Sales Officer

Melissa has spent more than a decade commercialising science for industrial, food and beverage, medical and biotechnology applications with New Zealand research institutes, universities, industry and individuals.

She was responsible for establishing New Zealand’s first angel investment network, MINE, which attracted over $14m start up capital for New Zealand technology companies, and for developing and implementing marketing campaigns such as “What’s your problem NZ?” and managing the commercialisation team and investment funds for Crown Research Institute, Industrial Research Ltd’s (IRL).
